This texture naturally forms defined curls without sacrificing airy bounce. Many women with this hair type talk about how their curl pattern changes with the weather, especially in humid, ocean-influenced Irish climates. Because Irish curls are built around movement, it’s no surprise that people with straight or slightly wavy hair often look for ways to recreate them for occasions that call for something playful and romantic..ud161d3d67038fe39a5c318f2f0f5406e { padding:0px; margin: 0; padding-top:1em!important; padding-bottom:1em!important; width:100%; display: block; font-weight:bold; background-color:#eaeaea; border:0!important; border-left:4px solid #34495E!important; text-decoration:none; } .ud161d3d67038fe39a5c318f2f0f5406e:active, .ud161d3d67038fe39a5c318f2f0f5406e:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; text-decoration:none; } .ud161d3d67038fe39a5c318f2f0f5406e { transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; } .ud161d3d67038fe39a5c318f2f0f5406e .ctaText { font-weight:bold; color:#464646; text-decoration:none; font-size: 16px; } .ud161d3d67038fe39a5c318f2f0f5406e .postTitle { color:#9B59B6; text-decoration: underline!important; font-size: 16px; } .ud161d3d67038fe39a5c318f2f0f5406e:hover .postTitle { text-decoration: underline!important; } See alsoHow do you choose the best home care services recruitment agency for your needs? If you research ‘Hair Type Irish Curls’ you will notice that most textures look best when they are moisturized. These methods also resemble the natural curls seen throughout Ireland, which are relaxed, breezy and effortlessly romantic. Here are a few familiar approaches:#1. This method is perfect for people who start with straighter textures but aim for Irish-inspired movements.#2. Braided heatless wavesBraiding damp hair and leaving it overnight creates soft waves that resemble the looser end of Irish curl patterns. For thicker textures, multiple smaller braids help tighten the coils. This method often appears in searches such as ‘Irish curls products’ as it is easily achieved with curl creams or lightweight mousses.#3. Soft Flexi Rod coilsFlexi rods provide an easy way to create structured spirals without heat. From GQ Men of the Year Awards To Brazil GP

Black men from the fashion, music and sports worlds took their style choices several notches higher last week, embracing sartorial risks that paid off. From the polished glamor of the GQ Men of the Year Awards to the adrenaline-fueled energy of the Brazilian Grand Prix, and even the evolution of tunnel walking during competitions – once dominated by forgettable basics, now reimagined as the unofficial catwalk of modern athletes – style became the universal language. What emerged was a week defined by bold proportions, inventive textures and a collective refusal to play it safe. Each star stepped out with intention, proving that confidence is the ultimate accessory and that personal style is actually a playground rather than a boundary.ContentsThe looksCheck out last week’s best-dressed black male celebrities… Michael B. PL hits and misses: Liverpool take advantage as Arsenal and Man City stumble

Toothless Arsenal crying out for Odegaard return
Mikel Arteta said before the game that his Arsenal team thrive when they "show their teeth". Instead, this was a toothless display on the road. Toothless Arsenal crying out for Odegaard return Mikel Arteta said before the game that his Arsenal team thrive when they "show their teeth". Instead, this was a toothless display on the road. One shot on target, none from open play and Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope was not required to make a save all game. Arsenal's attack went completely missing. The Gunners created 1.11 expected goals, so should have found the net at St James' Park. But the vast majority of the total came from Mikel Merino's blocked shot and Declan Rice's late miss. For long periods of the game, Arsenal failed to break down Newcastle's mid-block and they were missing something. It appears that if Arsenal have any ambitions to win the Premier League title, or even challenge for it, then Martin Odegaard needs to return from injury quickly. Even after missing the last six weeks of the season, the Arsenal captain has more chances created from open play than any top-flight player. Odegaard would have provided that killer touch Arsenal missed at Newcastle. He may return in midweek for Inter Milan, but has his reintroduction to the side come too late?Sam Blitz Another off-day for misfiring Haaland Do not adjust your screens: Erling Haaland is officially the most wasteful Premier League striker right now. It seems wild to be saying that about a striker who has scored 14 goals in 14 games in all competitions so far this season, but the stats do not lie. Following Man City's shock defeat to Bournemouth, the Norwegian striker has now missed six big chances in five matches since September 28. He has just one goal in that period. Haaland is the most under-performing Premier League player in terms of Expected Goals since that date - by quite some distance. Team-mate Bernardo Silva is third on that list. He had the chance to score a leveller as City applied intense pressure deep into stoppage time, but his header was saved by Cherries goalkeeper Mark Travers. To add insult to injury, he put his rebound onto the post from point-blank range. The first effort had an xG of 0.21, the second one had an xG of 0.35. It was an off-day all round and a reminder that Haaland is, in fact, human. But City could do with him returning to his robotic best sharpish.Dan Long Pumped-up Newcastle bruise flat Arsenal again Twice in the second half, Newcastle players celebrated successful defensive actions as if they had scored a goal. Bruno Guimaraes winning a throw-in - cue exuberant fist pumps. Joelinton outmuscling Gabriel at the far post - bring on the roar in front of thousands of baying home fans. This was the kind of Newcastle performance that has made Eddie Howe's side such a tough nut to crack during most of his time in charge - and also served to remind us what they had been missing during a five-game winless run. The Magpies had been too easy to run through, too easy to score against and too easy to overpower for much of this campaign. But this all changed against Arsenal, who have now suffered defeat - and failed to score - on three of their last four visits to St James' Park. Newcastle seem to relish taking on Arteta's side, embracing the opportunity to frustrate, battle and bruise their title-chasing opponents. Maintain this level, and Howe's outfit will be back in the mix for the top four.Joe Shread Semenyo shows why he has top six suitors On Saturday morning, we reported Liverpool were scouting Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, with the Ghana international seen as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, should he leave Anfield when his contract ends at the end of the season. Many will have already been aware of what the forward is capable of producing on a regular basis, but against Man City, he put himself in the spotlight. Semenyo was a constant thorn in City's side, both defensively - he won eight of his nine ground duels and 100 per cent of his tackles - and in an attacking sense, with one goal from four shots, three chances created and numerous bursts forward on the counter. Semenyo - who was playing for Bath in the National League South in 2017/18 - has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water over the past two seasons and, at 24, still has plenty of room to improve. Whether that is at Bournemouth remains to be seen.Dan Long Alexander-Arnold becoming the full package The speed at which Arne Slot has got to work at Liverpool has been impressive - none more so than his work with Trent Alexander-Arnold. His defensive work, often criticised in the past, has been one of the standout aspects of Liverpool's amazing start to the season. While he remains a creative force, his role has changed under Slot. Ryan Gravenberch's introduction in midfield has allowed the Liverpool boss to use Alexander-Arnold more like a conventional full-back and he's answering the call. One of the toughest tests a full-back can undertake in the Premier League is a game against Karou Mitoma but Alexander-Arnold stood strong throughout. His tackle count of nine was the most made by a player in any game this season in the Premier League while Mitoma only completed three of his eight dribbles in the game.Lewis Jones Forest for top four - why not? It is all going right for Forest, currently. Chris Wood has transformed himself into one of the most lethal strikers in the top flight of English football and the team have ascended into the top three of the Premier League. The sky is the limit for this side. They have heaps of quality surrounding their in-form striker and showed that through Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ola Aina and the talent they called upon from the bench. You would be naive to think this was just a purple patch of form - we've seen that sides like Aston Villa can challenge top teams for Champions League football, so why can't Forest be the latest to do this? They have all the necessary components at the ready and continue to churn out performances and results against solid opponents. The upcoming meetings against Newcastle and Arsenal will be crucial in determining what the ceiling for this team really is.Patrick Rowe West Ham must improve across all areas It was a third formation change of the season from Julen Lopetegui, as he returned to the 3-4-3 he used during the 3-0 defeat to Chelsea. In the early stages of the game, it looked as if the combination of Max Kilman, Jean-Clair Todibo and Konstantinos Mavropanos could keep the in-form Wood quiet after he was limited to just eight touches in the first 25 minutes. However, the Forest forward nodded in the opener moments later and it was not long before West Ham were reduced to 10 players and the game spiralled out of their control. Lopetegui was quick to point out after the game that the result did not solely fall on the shoulders of Alvarez and instead looked at his team as a collective by insisting they must be better across all fronts. And he was right. West Ham started well but unravelled even before the red card. If they are to prevent this season from petering out into mid-table mediocrity - or something much worse - they have to improve across all areas. At the moment, they seem like a team lacking direction.Patrick Rowe Needless Phillips red costs Ipswich dearly as long wait for top-flight win continues It would have been a long 20 minutes in the Portman Road dressing room for Ipswich Town's on-loan midfielder Kalvin Phillips after his sending-off helped turn the match on its head against Leicester City. Until that point, Kieran McKenna's side were in complete control and cruising to a first league win since their promotion back to the Premier League, but for the second week in a row a lack of discipline cost them dear. Last week, it was Harry Clarke's dismissal that acted as spur for Brentford to go on and win a seven-goal thriller with a 96th-minute strike at the Gtech to break Ipswich hearts. Fast forward a week and this time it was the far more experienced Phillips who let his team down, forcing them to paly out the final 20-odd minutes a player short in Suffolk and, boy, did the Foxes take advantage. The visitors should already have been level, but for a sensational goal-line clearance from Cameron Burgess to deny that man Ayew with two minutes to go, although the substitute was not to be denied, levelling matters in the fourth minute of stoppage-time as the Tractor Boys' wait for a top-flight win, which stretches back to April 2002, continues.Richard Morgan Saints win papers over cracks Southampton claimed their first league victory and clean sheet in 10 attempts, but they will struggle to earn many more with similar performances. The hosts controlled possession, as usual, yet were second-best to Everton in all the attacking stats apart from final third entries. Instead, the big Beto moments went Southampton's way. Jan Bednarek's foul on the striker, who then missed from five yards and had a late equaliser ruled out followed instinctive saves by goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale - Southampton's Player of the Match. Russell Martin praised his side for "sticking with what we want to be and who we want to be" although their struggle is likely to continue.David Richardson

Amorim begins Sporting farewell tour with 5-1 thumping of Estrela

RUBEN AMORIM is heading to Old Trafford - and now Manchester United should sign Viktor Gyokeres. On the night Amorim started his three-game farewell tour at Sporting, former Coventry striker Gyokeres maintained his stunning record at the club with a hat-trick in the first 42 minutes before grabbing the fourth in the second half. The red-hot forward, a £20million bargain from the Championship, has now scored 20 goals in 16 games this season on top of his 43 strikes in 50 matches last term. How United, the third lowest scorers in the Premier League, would love someone like the Swedish international. Gyokeres’ opener was well placed from an acute angle while the next two - the third being a penalty - were just raw power. His fourth in the 70th minute was a brilliant individual effort oozing with self confidence. That was before Maximiliano Araujo made it five for the hosts minutes before full-time. Yet United fans will hope their team do not defend under Amorim like the moment Sporting allowed Rodrigo Pinho to pull one back for 2-1 with an easy header. As you would expect, the announcement of Amorim’s departure has been mixed here. Outside the stadium, there was a banner which read: “Amorim, this is not your home anymore, thank you.” Other fans, though, took flags into the ground declaring their love for the coach who led the club to two titles. When Amorim’s name was first read out 30 minutes before kick-off, there were whistles and jeers followed by applause. But when the 39-year-old came out of the tunnel for the game, he received a standing ovation and applauded the fans. Gyokeres said about Amorim and reports suggesting he could follow him to Manchester: "We're sad to see him go. He did an extraordinary job here. We all wish him the best. "Follow him to Manchester? I don't know, I'm here and I like it here. I don't think about it." Speaking after the game, Amorim ruled out a move for Gyokeres, or any Sporting player in January. And the incoming Red Devils chief even put his own very lofty price-tag on the Swedish striker. Amorim said: "Gyokeres costs 100 million (£84m) and it's very difficult. "I'm not going to get any players from Sporting in January." Another player who enjoyed a good reception from the home supporters was former United winger Nani. He started his career at Sporting and the 37-year-old came on as a second half sub for Estrela.

UEFA have confirmed the potential for legal action against individuals involved in false quotes attributed to president Aleksander Ceferin. The update relates to the fall out following the Ballon d’Or after Vinicius Junior controversially missed out on the award. Alongside the shock in the Spanish capital over the call from France Football, Los Blancos opted for a full boycott of the ceremony in Paris, despite widespread criticism of their actions. As the debate rolls on, rumours on social media grew, with claims of Ceferin stating the decision was justified, as he joins the critics of Vinicius Jr and Real Madrid. https://img.allfootballapp.com/www/M00/33/A0/720x-/-/-/CgAGVmMFMniAWRSgAACGDyJKmbw351.jpg However, no firm source was connected to the quotes, which Ceferin has reportedly denied came from him or UEFA. Europe’s governing body have now issued a statement on the matter as they look to clear the air and move on from controversy surrounding their 57-year-old chief. “We categorically deny claims circulating about UEFA’s alleged comments on the Ballon d’Or. Neither UEFA nor its president made any statements on the result or the selection for the award”, it read. “Such reports are totally unfounded and do not reflect reality.”

Keown blasts Arsenal 'didn't play like champions' after Newcastle defeat

Martin Keown was not impressed with Arsenal after his former club lost 1-0 at Newcastle United on Saturday. Arsenal dominated possession at St James' Park with 64 per cent but Alexander Isak scored the only goal of the game in the 12th minute when he headed home following a cross from Anthony Gordon. The result leaves Arsenal without a win in their last three Premier League games. The Gunners now have 18 points from their first 10 games this season. Meanwhile, leaders Manchester City had 23 from nine going into their match away at Bournemouth later in the day - before being stunned by the Cherries in a 2-1 loss. Former defender Keown - who played 449 times for the Gunners during two spells in the 1980s, 90s and 00s - watched Saturday's early game in his role as a TNT Sports pundit. Reacting to the game, Keown said: 'Well, obviously, it's still early in the season, but it's a long way back now with the lead that Man City have… and Liverpool. 'It's thoroughly disappointing. Arsenal just didn't impose their personality on this game at all. Credit to Newcastle. They sat in with a four and a five and one up top, and Arsenal just didn't show enough today. They didn't get going at any point. They've really only got themselves to blame for that.' Keown later added: 'Arsenal just didn't turn up today, didn't play the football we expected, didn't play like champions.' Former Chelsea and Liverpool winger Joe Cole was also working for TNT Sports on Saturday. Cole had chosen Arsenal as his pick to win the title earlier in the season, but he was having second thoughts after seeing them drop more points on Tyneside. 'There's a lot of people tipped them for the league, me included, but I'm second guessing that now after what I saw today,' said Cole. https://img.allfootballapp.com/www/M00/5A/0D/720x-/-/-/CgAGVWcmeCKAfMzOAAB53jHIiQU884.jpg 'When they go back into that dressing room, the manager's got to lift them. The players have got to take ownership of it as well 'Because they've got a hell of a week coming up... going to Milan in the Champions League, then a difficult game against Chelsea, who are on form... and it's a London derby. I think they could soon find themselves 10 points adrift.'

Robin Le Normand has taken a step closer to recovery from injury in Atletico Madrid training this week. The Spain international has not featured since a clash of heads with Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni in the final seconds of Los Rojiblancos’ 1-1 derby draw last month. Following the aftermath of the game, Le Normand was sent for urgent tests, which confirmed a brain injury and a subdural hematoma. The club have understandably opted for extreme caution over the situation, due to the severity of the injury, and he was not called up for Spain duty in October. Despite confidence over him being able to return to match action at the start of November, Diego Simeone has confirmed he remains unclear on comeback date, with tentative steps taken. As per the latest update from Mundo Deportivo, Le Normand has now taken a limited part in training, but the real test will come as he moves into contact sessions in the coming weeks. No risk will be taken over his return with the potential of an absence stretching into 2025.

Rylee Foster: Former Liverpool ace reflects on her journey to the WSL

Rylee Foster: Former Liverpool ace reflects on her journey to the WSL

"If you die and come back to life, you can overcome anything."Three years on from a car crash that left Foster and many others questioning whether she would walk again, the Canada-born shot-stopper is back playing at the highest level and is enjoying every second of it. "If you die and come back to life, you can overcome anything." Three years on from a car crash that left Foster and many others questioning whether she would walk again, the Canada-born shot-stopper is back playing at the highest level and is enjoying every second of it. The list of injuries suffered while holidaying in Finland back in 2021 was extensive. Neck fractures, lower-back breaks, a broken cheekbone, partial tears in the knee and shoulder, as well as brain damage. As expected, a lengthy rehabilitation phase followed with the main objective being to obtain a decent quality of life for the then 23-year-old. But she had other ideas. Speaking exclusively toSky Sports, Foster reflected on her journey back to the professional game after signing a short-term deal with Everton this summer. She said: "I am happy playing now. When you are out of the game, it is hard to find your identity again. The accident gave me opportunity but took away my biggest passion. You lose that love for the game, "For me to be back in the WSL, amongst the best of the best, I feel that love and desire. I'm being challenged and tested every day which is what I want. "That challenge is what I was craving. I have that here. Back in a league where anything can happen." 731 days after suffering life-threatening injuries, Foster was back between the sticks for A-League side Wellington Phoenix after being released by Liverpool at the end of her contract in 2022. "Business is business. I was an asset that could not perform which is the cruel reality of football," Foster said after being asked about her perception of Liverpool now. "At the end of the day, do I have hard feelings? No. I'm back in the city that I call home and my family is from. I have the opportunity to represent a club which is just as established and historical. "It is awesome. We are trying to grow the game; I have respect for both sides. I am honoured to be back playing." After making 19 appearances across all competitions in New Zealand, she set her sights on returning to the United Kingdom with a trial at Celtic. However, the road to finding a new club was not an easy one. After featuring in five pre-season games for Celtic, Foster was not offered a contract at the end of it due to a "misdiagnosed" knee problem. But as usual, this setback did not deter her as she pursued other trial opportunities before eventually signing for Everton. Foster had previously stated clubs had been hesitant to take the "risk" given the injury history, although any worries Everton boss Brian Sorensen had about signing the 26-year-old quickly dispersed after seeing her in action. "She had been out there playing consistently and was in the entire pre-season as a trialist," Sorensen toldSky Sports. "She did well and we saw no concerns in terms of her older accident, we saw her play fresh and looked sharp. "Rylee is a good character and comes with a lot of energy, so she is settling in really well." She is yet to make her debut for the Toffees as she competes with first-choice goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan and fellow understudy Emily Ramsey, but is not piling any pressure on herself and insists her "time will come" in blue. "For me it is about staying ready. We know who steps between the sticks, the job will get done," she added. "My objective is to keep asking questions and working hard. My time will come but I'm here and earning my stripes back. I was away for so long at the top level and can't expect to be playing every day. "It is realistic to say I'm here and taking my opportunities when they come. I'm still young, my time will come and it is not something I need to stress about." Her impressive mentality stems from the accident itself and the new-found freedom it has given her across all aspects of her life. While many players on a short-term deal would look at the lack of game-time as an issue, Foster instead chooses to remain grateful for the opportunity itself after coming so close to losing it all. She said: "One can argue that if you die and come back to life, you can kind of overcome anything. "That is one of the most uncontrollable factors is that most of us can't survive. I am untouchable and that is not an arrogance thing, it's mentality. "What I went through, I don't wish upon anyone, but I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to endure those things. "I will do whatever I can do to be back playing. I know what it is like to be told you won't play again at very young age. "I take my opportunities to make the best of it. Nothing phases me. When you die and come back, you smile because you can." Watch Everton Women vs Chelsea Women live on Sky Sports Football this Sunday from 6.30pm.

Real Madrid eye more 24/25 season silverware at next months Intercontinental Cup

On 18 December in the Qatari capital, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will face Pachuca, Al Ahly or the Libertadores champion in the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental final. Two decades after its last edition was played to make way for the Club World Cup, FIFA have resurrected the Intercontinental Cup to maintain the annual clash between the continental champions of the six confederations, now without a host. With the new look expanded 32 team Club World Cup set to be played every four years (the first edition will take place next summer in the US from June 15 to July 13) the Intercontinental Cup is back on the already packed football calendar, with a format undergoing a series of changes. The most significant development sees the European champion (Real Madrid this year) fast-tracked to the final. As a result, on 18 December, Real Madrid will be involved in the final against an, as yet unknown rival with Carlo Ancelotti eyeing the second of the seven titles the club could potentially win this season after winning the UEFA Super Cup in Warsaw last August. Intercontinental Cup format The new Intercontinental Cup consists of five matches with two have already been played. The first round between the champions of Asia and Oceania was played in Abu Dhabi on 22 September. The UAE’s Al Ain defeated Auckland City of New Zealand (6-2). The second round was played last Tuesday, with the Egyptian giants Al Ahly beating Al Ain (3-0). These first two matches are part of what FIFA has called the Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup. The other three matches of the tournament will be played as a final phase in Qatar. On 11 December, Mexican side Pachuca (CONCACAF Champions winners) will face the Copa Libertadores champions (the all Brazilian final will be played between Botafogo and Atlético Mineiro on 30 November) in what FIFA has come to call theDerby of the Americas. The winner of this tie will face Al Ahly on 14 December in theChallenger Cup.The winner of this Challenger Cup will then face Real Madrid on Wednesday, 18 December 18 (with a 11:00 am ET start) in the final for the title. The first two matches will be in Doha at the 974v Stadium and the final will be played at the Lusail Stadium, coinciding with the second anniversary of the World Cup final that was played in the same venue and in which Argentina emerged champion after defeating France in extra time. Under the new format, any non-European team that wants to win the Intercontinental Cup must navigate at least three games to become, which differed to the previousClub World Cup setup where both the South American and European champions needed only two games to win the title. Participating teams ♠Real Madrid (Spain).Under the new format, the European champions directly qualify for the final. Madrid won the Champions League by beating Dortmund (2-0, with goals from Carvajal and Vinicius) in the final played at Wembley on June 1. ♠Al Ahly (Egypt). The most successful team on the banks of the Nilewon the African Champions League in May after defeating Tunisian Esperance in the final(0-0 in the first leg and 1-0 in the return leg in Cairo). Barcelona boss Flick calls for LaLiga suspension after Spanish floods

Barcelona are in high spirits ahead of Sunday's derby against Espanyol, though Hansi Flick does not think LaLiga matches should be played this weekend.Barca thrashed Real Madrid 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend to establish a six-point lead in LaLiga but their city rivals Espanyol are 20 points behind and languishing in 17th place, a point above the relegation zone. Barcelona are in high spirits ahead of Sunday's derby against Espanyol, though Hansi Flick does not think LaLiga matches should be played this weekend. Barca thrashed Real Madrid 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend to establish a six-point lead in LaLiga but their city rivals Espanyol are 20 points behind and languishing in 17th place, a point above the relegation zone. Yet Flick feels it is wrong that LaLiga is playing on in the wake of the flash floods that have devastated regions of eastern Spain, with Valencia particularly impacted. Madrid's game against Valencia was naturally postponed, but most other fixtures in Spain's top tier are going ahead. "If it were me, I might [suspend LaLiga] because it is an incredible tragedy for Valencia and Spain as a whole," Flick said. "We have spoken with Ferran [Torres] who is from the area, and it is not easy to decide whether the game should be played or not. "It is a tragedy. It was something similar in Germany three years ago, it is horrible. We will do everything we can to help. The rest is for LaLiga to decide." Barca do hold a brilliant record against Espanyol, having not lost in their last 26 encounters with their city rivals. Flick, though, warned his side against any complacency. "I know what a Barca-Espanyol derby means. It will be a tough match, for sure. After a fantastic week, it is important to be at 100% tomorrow, with intensity and maximum quality," Flick said. "We always prepare well for the next game. After the celebrations, we focus on the next game. We work on what we want tomorrow. It's a very long game in the league and we focus on the next game." Barca have taken 30 points from their first 11 league matches this season, their second-highest tally at this stage of a campaign in the competition, after 31 points in the 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2017-18 seasons.
